The steel industry is targeting to greener production by decreasing energy usage and emissions. One of the opportunities to increase energy efficiency in steel production is the waste heat recovery from slag. As a part of the ECOSLAG project (RFCS project 800762), which aims at examining operational technical solutions for waste heat recovery from steel making slag, different types of new heat recovery technologies have been tested.

The first test results of ECOSLAG project will be presented at the ESTEP Waste heat recovery and utilization for steel plants online event on 11st May. The seminar is one of the three webinar sessions related to the topic. Find the detailed program of the events from comments and register to hear more about the waste heat recovery development in ECOSLAG project presented by the project coordinator David Algermissen from FEsH, Germany and a new, patented RecHeat technology by SFTec Oy, Finland.
